Arrest Warrant Ordered for actor-politician Shatrughan Sinha for violating the model code

Shatrughan SinhaBihar’s Bettiah district police have ordered the arrest of actor-politician Shatrughan Sinha for violating the model code of conduct in the October-November 2010 assembly polls. Sinha is a Bharatiya Janata Party MP from Patna Sahib constituency.

An FIR was lodged against Sinha last year for landing his helicopter without permission at Belwa Bahuari village under Gaunaha to campaign for the BJP candidate Bhagirathi Devi. He also addressed a public meeting.

Bettiah Superintendent of Police Nishant Kumar Tiwari late Saturday night ordered Sinha’s arrest after an inquiry found him guilty.
