Chennai, Jun 17 : Arignar Anna Zoological Park on the outskirts of the Chennai city is looking for kangaroos and rhinoceros to be housed in it. Zoo visitors are expecting to see animals like Kangaroos and Rhinos.

“Kangaroos and Rhinoceros are animals that the visitors would look forward to see in a zoo. We are are on the lookout to get them from other zoos,”said Director of the park K S S V P Reddy

Arignar Anna Zoological Park, also known as Vandalur Zoo, is the largest zoo in the country and hosts around 1700 animals. The zoo has received money to a tune of Rs 23 lakh from individuals and organisations for adopting animals between August 2010 and March this year.

“They adopt almost all the animals. But, tigers continue to remain the choice of many,” Reddy said.
