Shirdi (Maha), Jul 13: For darshan, reserving rooms and paying donations to Shirdi Saibaba, devotees can now book online slots. The Chairman of the temple trust said that this hi-tech project was developed by Pune-based Cognizant Technology Solutions.
The Rs 22-crore ‘Sai Tech Project’ will be inaugurated on Friday by Maharashtra Speaker Dilip Valse Patil and state Agriculture Minister Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil, chairman of Shirdi Saibaba Trust, Jayant Sasane, told reporters.
Under the project, developed on the lines of Tirupati temple of Andhra Pradesh, an online portal has been created for convenience of the devotees through which they can book slots for darshan and reserve rooms for their stay in the temple town, he added.
In order to eliminate middlemen and agents, a touch screen system with 37 computers is being installed in the premises of the temple which attracts lakhs of devotees from across the country and abroad, said Sasane.
