Bypolls were conducted for three assembly constituencies in Tamil Nadu, two in Tripura, one each in Assam, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh and Arunachal Pradesh and the union territory of Puducherry. The counting of votes for by-elections in Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Tripura, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry was conducted on Tuesday.
Here are the results of Bypoll Election 2016:
In Puducherry CM Narayanaswamy defeated AIADMK by a margin of 11,144 votes in Nellithope.
In Tamilnadu voting was held in the assembly segments of Thiruparankundram, Thanjavur, and Aravakurichi. AIADMK sweeps the polls in all the three assembly constituencies.

In Arunachal Pradesh, BJP’s Dasanglu Pul wins Anjaw assembly seat by 944 votes.
In Madhya Pradesh, BJP’s Gyan Singh wins Lok Sabha seat from Shahdol by a margin of 60383 votes.
In West Bengal, Trinamool Congress’ Dibyendu Adhikari wins Tamluk Lok by the margin of 4.97 lakh votes.
The ruling CPI-M in Tripura today won both the Barjala (SC) and Khowai constituencies.
In Assam, BJP leading with 24,312 votes on Lakhimpur Lok Sabha seat, Congress at second with 12,484 votes.
