Vijayawada, 4 May: In a shocking incident, a four year old baby was died due to ant bites in the government-run hospital last week in Andhra Pradesh.
The baby was put in an incubator after being found unconscious on friday. Doctors at the government hospital denied the negligence and said that the infant died due to lung disorder. Official in the hospital told the red marks found on the baby's chest is due to cardio-pulmonary resuscitation. Relatives of the Infant stated that the saline bottle had fallen on the baby and caused the Injury.
Krishna district collector A Babu told media that the cause for the infant death would be informed officially after the autopsy. Health minister Kamineni Srinivas has also ordered to submit the report at the earliest.
Relatives of the infant and Leaders of opposition parties visited hospital to console the infant family and also raised protest against the negligence of the hospital authorities.
