Chennai, Jul 29 : Tamil Nadu government today invited applications from cable operators and other interested Multi-System Operators to join Arasu Cable TV.
"Arasu Cable TV Corporation Ltd (ACTCL) will start its services soon. Applications are invited from local cable operators and MSOs to join it," an official release here said.
The forms were available on Arasu Cable website and completed forms should be submitted by August 5, it said.
Aware as an apparent move against the Maran brothers, whose Sumangali Cable Vision (SCV) holds near monopoly in the multi-million rupees cable business in the state, Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa had promised in her party manifesto for the April 13 polls the revival of ACTCL.
Udumalai K Radhakrishnan, AIADMK's Tirupur district Youth Wing Secretary, has been appointed as Chairman of ACTCL, Chennai by J Jayalalitha.
